PROGRAM OVERVIEW

 

Lumbee River Christian College is dedicated to equipping Christians for ministry. As a double major in Biblical Studies and one of three others to choose from, Pastoral Ministry, Missions Ministry, and Christian Education you will gain an extensive knowledge of the Bible, a sound understanding of theology, and equipped in the field that you feel that God is calling you. 

In this degree plan, you get to choose from three concentrations: Pastoral Ministry, Missions Ministry and Christian Education

CONCENTRATIONS:

Pastoral Ministry

The Pastoral Ministry major prepares the student for congregation ministry and works of service so that the body of Christ is built and flourishes. Because the BRE has a  double major that emphasizes a strong biblical/theological foundation, it also provides well-balanced training in the theory and practice of pastoral ministry.

Our studegraduate with pastoral dispositions and abilities to help you train, supervise, lead and nurture a local congregation of believers; in addition to skills in preaching and teaching the Bible, evangelism, mission work, and discipleship.

Missions Ministry

“Go into all the world” is the great commission and in the Missions Concentration, you will certainly be prepared to do just that. You will be trained to deliver God’s love both domestically and on foreign ground and in both short term and long term arrangements. You will also gain skills to be church missions directors. The cross-cultural approach of the Missions Concentration is exciting and inspiring.
